Oregon Cancer Ski Out

Teams of 5 compete for prizes at Mt. Hood Meadows, in a race that rewards consistency and teamwork rather than individual speed. Volunteer celebrity and professional coaching staff are on hand throughout the race, coordinating teams and assisting with professional advice and instructions.

Funds are raised through corporate sponsorships, team entry fees, participants voluntarily raising Bucks to Buck Cancer, a combination of silent and oral auctions, and the ever-popular Cowboy up for Cancer dinner and casino night held in Hood River. Since it began in 1988, the Oregon Cancer Ski Out has raised over $900,000 for its beneficiaries. In addition, over 400 people take part in the Ski Out each year, many of whom have participated in this event since its inception.

Each year, the event has seen increased participation, public awareness, and corporate recognition and involvement. The event's success, to date, is largely due to the strong support it has received from local corporations and individuals who want to participate in a fun event that makes a meaningful impact in the fight against cancer.

Oregon Cancer Bike Out

Oregon Cancer Bike Out is a full day of Mountain Biking fun!  Race your bike down the thrilling trails at Wanoga Sno-Park, one of Central Oregon’s best trail system outside of Bend.  Trails for this year’s event include Funner, Tiddlywinks, Tyler’s Traverse, and Lower Storm King.

These single-track trails are “mostly” downhill. Each ride offers more than 1,400 vertical feet of descent. The recommended rider ability is intermediate, but for those who want to undergo more of a "hair raising experience" there are a number of advanced options available. Funner and Tiddlywinks have become the trails of choice for Bend's most popular events.

Shuttle and optional guided services will be provided to assure this event can offer you the best gravity assisted experience ever.
